A little bird told Bernie he could win WA caucus
The Washington state Democrat caucus is underway and Bernie Sanders hopes to do well. Large turn outs are reported at local caucus sites as hipsters, the professionally unemployed, and college students turn out for Bernie.
Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii all hold their Democrat party caucus today.
Hillary leads the race in Super Delegates who are empowered to support whomever the DNC instructs them to vote for. Bernie Sanders has proved to be a speed bump to Hillary’s road to the nomination. His growing support with millennials and people angry with Wall Street’s bankrolling of the elected officials has helped him win in a few states. Bernie looks to do better today as most students do not have school on Saturdays.
Sanders held a rally in Portland that had over 10,000 people in attendance. News of a bird landing on his podium melted the hearts of people on Twitter as the small bird tweeted a message of peace. This brief burst of media coverage and with #BirdieSanders trending on Twitter, Sanders may be hopeful at today’s election.
New coverage of Hillary Clinton events seems non existent. Her reliance on TV spots and small screened audiences have sheltered her from the optics of Bernie supporters.
Polling for the caucus states have been scarce. Due to the mysterious nature of caucuses many do not know what to do or who to vote for until they are instructed at the caucus event. Tales of tie breakers in Iowa came down to coin tosses with Hillary magically winning all of the flips. This statistically improbable action helped lead to her very narrow win.
Sanders supporters are mare confident of his win there than anything else in their non productive lives. How do they know Bernie will win in Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii caucus?
