Berning the Fields – Hillary’s Coronation is Shunning Millennials
Before the polls opened in California and New Jersey, Hillary Clinton’s media friends made a few phone calls to superdelegates and declared her presumptive nominee. This untimely move angered millions of Bernie Sanders supporters and provided further evidence that the election was rigged in Clinton’s favor.
Bernie Sanders Stood Up Against the Clinton Machine
On May 26, 2015, Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont stood up to the Clinton political machine and declared his candidacy for President of the United States of America. His unconventional campaign touted support for socialistic agendas that aimed to knock out Wall Street corruption, tackle income inequality, and disrupt the status quo that has given rise to hopelessness for young Americans.
Sanders took Hillary to task and challenged her on the millions she earned pandering to Wall Street. He spread his message of hope to the people and received unexpected support from nearly every democrat under the age of 30. Sanders ran a bold campaign in the face of Clinton’s careful managed ability to take victory without openly talking to reporters or large crowds of real voters. Clinton’s tactics of shunning millennials and belittling Sanders gave merit to his claims of rigging the system in her favor.
Will the youth of America vote for the ultimate political insider who has made a career of enriching herself at the expense of 99%? Will her ‘say anything’ rhetoric inspire people who are suffering the pains of unemployment and poverty? Americans are tired of not getting raises in the last seven years and have given up on finding work as the hope they sought years ago turned out to be nothing more than a mirage.
This bent up anger has led voters to flock to outsider candidates like Sen. Sanders and Donald Trump. The candidates have shown that they are not beholden to billionaires and Wall Street money changers, an appealing trait that has become the new political currency. With trust in our government at an all time low, an outsider stands a better chance at winning the 2016 election than an embeded government insider.
Twitter Reacts to Hillary’s #SecretWin
The AP called the election and Hillary sent out an email congratulating the campaign on winning the nomination. The email contained an image with the file name “secret-win-V2-060416c_02.png”. A discussion on reddit pointed out the following:
This prompted numerous reactions on Twitter as Sanders supporters expressed their outrage at the alleged campaign collusion with the media.

@AP @APLaurieKellman EXPLAIN THIS. Why did they have YOUR tweet on 06/04/16? And why is the image labeled #secretwin pic.twitter.com/3APv97dfhP

Donald Trump may not be too far off from the truth with calling his opponent “Crooked Hillary.”
Sanders is expected to win the California primary
A victory in the golden state would show the party of Hillary that the Democrats are not united in supporting Wall Street backers and classified email scandals. This Tuesday may mark the point in time where the DNC lost its way and shoved a un-trustworthy candidate down the throats of its party members. Blatantly ignoring a generation of voters to appease the well funded friends of Hillary will drive them away and cause millennials to lose faith in the Democratic party.
