Craigslist Boise Awesome-ness

The second edition of Craigslist Awesome-ness expands to Boise and the Treasure Valley area to see what else Idaho has to offer, and it is totally worth it. Like the our first edition, which was focused on Craigslist East Idaho, we asked the question “what would you find by searching for only the word “awesome” in Craigslist?”

• Brand NEW*DEAN K. ALLISON Sculpture Framed Picture

  

  Kicking us off is a a sculpture… well actually just a photo of a sculpture, but at least it is framed! For the low low asking price of $30 bucks Craigslist Boise is offering up this amazing photo of some awesome art. If your design style is “I wanna look classy but not actually pay for it” and Gold tones then this wall hanging is perfect. Conversely for $30 you might just want the frame.

• Mountain Lion Mount

  

  Idaho is famous for it stunning mountain scenery and diverse wildlife. Perhaps you are less interested in decorating in “faux-classy” and more in bring Idaho’s great outdoors to your indoors, if so then this taxidermied Mountain Lion might just be worth the $675 price tag. The stones the fearsome cat are standing on would probably cost you half that at Home Depot were you building a patio in the yard so it seems like a pretty good deal

• Hand Carved Tiki Statue

  

  Generally the items included on these lists are laughable and are treated with satirical perspective but once in awhile something comes along that is truly awesome! This vintage 1950s/1960s hand carved Tiki is in fact awesome and while the price might be a bit high in my opinion at $140 this would look pretty great hanging out in a garage or on the back patio near a fire pit. Someone scoop this thing up ASAP.

• Awesome Vintage Mid Century Wasilly Chrome Chairs

  

  While technically true, describing the the 1950s as “Mid-Century” is a little on the deceptive side since the term is usually reserved for truly historic. The correct term here, according to Google, would be “Mid-Century Modern”

• Super Awesome Dragon Decor

  

  The best has surely been saved for last. Stepping it up from just regular awesome to “super awesome” the current owner of this dragon decor is clearly not up to handling all the awesome this Game of Thrones-esque wall decor is spouting. A set composed of dragon wall sconce and dragon themed mirror the craftsmanship is off the charts. “Both items are discontinued and almost impossible to find” so you better swoop in and scoop this amazing deal up before your next Hobbit marathon.
