An Idaho Falls fixture for over 30 years, Melaleuca: The Wellness Company continues to grow its line of wellness products. Melaleuca started in 1985 with just eight products—now it boasts nearly 500, from vitamins and supplements to a full suite of environmentally friendly household cleaning products.
When it comes to getting its products in the hands of end consumers, Melaleuca doesn’t use advertisers, grocery stores, or other middlemen. Instead, it conveniently sells its products through its online catalogue and phone service and ships directly to customers in 18 countries throughout North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
With $1.3 billion in annual sales, you could say it’s a successful business model, as more and more consumers are choosing to shop with Melaleuca. A record 155,000 new customers joined Melaleuca’s online shopping club last month alone.

As mentioned, Melaleuca manufactures and sells a wide variety of consumable goods—too many to highlight individually. Here, then, is a review of some of Melaleuca’s more popular products.
The Peak Performance Pack, Melaleuca’s signature daily vitamin/supplement pack, was introduced a few years ago. Melaleuca reports it’s become a hit among customers. In a study, the Peak Performance Pack was shown to benefit adults of every age—with measurable benefits in many of the body’s core systems. Varieties of the pack, designed for specific areas of wellness, include heart health, brain health, metabolic health, bone and joint health, and total health.
GC Control is Melaleuca’s natural blood sugar and weight loss support. It’s a low-glycemic shake mix that comes in caramel, apple & cinnamon, vanilla, chocolate, and peach cobbler. Health-conscious consumers want products that help them curb sugar cravings, which this product is designed to do. GC Control is clinically tested, high n protein and fiber, and gluten-free.
Renew Intensive Skin Therapy has been one of the company’s top sellers, and it has been for years. If you are a dry skin sufferer, you may want to try Renew based on this fact: It outperformed the top dermatologist-recommended brand in a head-to-head clinical trial during a harsh, frozen Canadian winter.
Melaleuca is also a competitor in the cosmetics industry, marketing a full line of beauty products under the name Sei Bella, which means “you are beautiful” in Italian. Comparable in price to other major brand names, Sei Bella products include unique color palettes, lip pencils, eye pencils, nail colors, perfumes, hair care items, and luxury skin crèmes.
Many say Melaleuca was “green” before green was a popular trend for manufacturers. They’re probably referring to the company’s EcoSense line of non-toxic, eco-friendly home cleaning products. EcoSense cleaners don’t contain ammonia, chlorine bleach, or any other harmful toxins that can damage the environment or hurt your family. They’re so safe that they don’t even require childproof caps.
Melaleuca is also a leader in concentrated formulas, with many EcoSense cleaners being 2x-12x concentrated. That allows Melaleuca products to reduce the amount of plastic it reduces, fuel it ships, and water it uses. The company reports that it has saved 205,701,712 pounds of plastic, 41,013,695 gallons of gasoline, and 46,145,876 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions since it first opened its doors over 30 years ago.
Melaleuca PURE Essential Oils
PURE Essential Oils were introduced on Melaleuca.com last year. All of the company’s oils are 100% pure and extracted directly from the botanical source, quality tested, and guaranteed to contain no impurities or synthetic substances. They are traceable to their source and harvested through sustainable practices. In some cases, Melaleuca’s oils are less than half the cost of competitors’ oils.
Earlier this year, Melaleuca launched Mountain Cabin Premium Coffee. Mountain Cabin comes in a variety of blends from organic rainforest to hazelnut decaf. Mountain Cabin coffees are fairly sourced, small-batch roasted, and packaged fresh. In addition, many of the Mountain Cabin blends come in single-serve cups (yes, they’re Keurig 2.0 compatible). The Mountain Cabin hot beverage family also includes apple cider, hot chocolate, and cappuccino.
The company’s launch of innovative products over the last few years has created a newfound wave of success for the Idaho Falls-based health products manufacturer. Melaleuca’s CEO, Frank VanderSloot, recently tweeted this image:

And based on the way the company seems to be growing, VanderSloot’s comments may not be an exaggeration at all.
